Tren Wickstrom
Tren was born and raised in North Seattle, and attended the University of Washington and the University of Stockholm, graduating with honors from the University of Washington. Post-graduation, Tren attended the Goethe Institute in Kochel-am-See, Germany, and worked in Germany, Norway, and Sweden, becoming conversant in those languages.
Tren started working as a commercial fisherman in 1974, graduating from the Kildall Navigation School and receiving his Mate's license in 1978. He worked and skippered for crabbers and trawlers in the Bering Sea for seven years. and subsequently owned and operated a Bristol Bay salmon gillnetter for more than twenty years. After earning his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law, Tren practiced maritime insurance defense in downtown Seattle, and independently investigated marine casualties for underwriters. Tren has been with Mullavey, Prout, Grenley and Foe, LLP, since 1990. Tren's practice focuses on all matters maritime, especially relating to the commercial fishing industry, including fishing and fishing rights and the related administrative practice, and business and commercial law.
