Richard L Prout
Dick Prout graduated from Brown University in 1962 and from the University of Pennsylvania
Law School in 1965. After a year of practice in Massachusetts and service in the Navy Judge
Advocate Corps during the Vietnam War, he joined the firm in 1969. He is licensed to practice
in all courts of the State of Washington, the Court of Military Appeals, Federal District Court,
the Federal Appellate Court, and United States Supreme Court. Dick's practice concentrates on
corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, estate planning, and fishing and maritime
matters. He has earned an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available
for attorneys. Dick has served on the boards of several charitable and civic organizations and is a
long-time member of the Ballard Rotary Club.
