Alan K. Foe
Alan Foe obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington and a law degree from the University of Puget Sound (now Seattle University School of Law). He began practice in Ballard in 1977 with Dick Prout at Hageman, Prout, Kirkland & Coughlin, and became a partner at Mullavey, Prout, Grenley & Foe in 1980.
Alan has more than 30 years of broad-ranging experience assisting business and individuals. His practice includes specialized knowledge in: business law (including corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships); commercial law; maritime and fisheries; real estate; estate planning and administration; construction law; litigation; and other personal and business legal matters. Alan has extensive experience in business transactions. He has successfully brought many cases to trial in state and federal courts. He has extensive experience arbitrating and mediating matters. His court experience includes both state and federal appellate work.
His litigation case load has ranged from the state's first commercially guided river rafting death case; to maritime personal injury cases; to commercial/business law litigation matters. He has earned an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available for attorneys.
Alan is licensed to practice before all federal courts (District Court, Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court) and all state courts of Washington. Within the past 10 years or so he has limited his court appearances but continues to work with and mentor firm associates. There are many tools of the trade available to a lawyer.
